The first Bullet Train trailer had it all, except for a good look at Sandra Bullock. We are pleased to report that the second Bullet Train trailer has it all.
While the previous trailer only featured Bullock as a pair of lips and a built-in voice, this time there’s a focus on Maria Beetle from “Deer Creek International Business Solutions”. She’s the handywoman any killer would want to have, as she christens Brad Pitt’s character “Ladybug” and tries to give a positive twist to her many previous setbacks.
Unfortunately, Ladybug’s bad luck is “biblical” (“I’m not even trying to kill people and someone dies!”), And extends to her latest mission. Not only do the other bullet train killers seem to be firing at the same briefcase, but they all have a history with Ladybug. This includes the character of Bad Bunny, who “will never stop coming” for Ladybug, as well as “The Twins”, Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry. (“You look like all the homeless white men I’ve ever seen,” says Henry, without acknowledging an old enemy.)
Even worse, at the end of the songs is waiting for “The White Death”, a “soulless psychotic leader with the largest criminal organization on the planet” played by Michael Shannon. She has a whole “army of assassins” ready to catch the passengers on the train, and the unfortunate Ladybug continues to miss her stop.
Elsewhere, there’s a bit of Zazie Beetz action and a Joey King accent work, as well as a kind of hairy-cheeked situation in Bullock’s head. (Curious fact: the actors’ mutual hairdresser on Bullet Train convinced Pitt to make the cameo in Bullock’s The L0st City movie). There are also many curses and jokes of Ladybug, who has a remarkably kind character given her rapidly declining fortune.
Bullet Train, directed by David Leitch, also stars Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Logan Lerman and Karen Fukuhara. The film hits theaters on August 5, 2022.
