Aston Villa have withdrawn from the race to sign Arsenal target Yves Bissouma, according to recent reports.
The Gunners have been closely linked to a play by Brighton midfielder in recent years and Italian channel Calciomercato reported on Tuesday that the Mali international is “destined” to join Mikel Arteta’s side this summer. His report states that the North Londoners are ahead of AS Roma in Serie A in the race to sign the tough master, who thrilled some Arsenal fans over the weekend when he shared a message to his Instagram story about the possibility of being a target.
The legend read, “I think he did [Bissouma] i [Youri] The Tielemans should be ours [Arsenal] priority in the middle of the field. We have to get Bissouma at any cost. “

Now, Gregg Evans of Athletic has reported that Bissouma is no longer on Aston Villa’s transfer list, which means the Gunners have less competition in the race to sign the 25-year-old if they are really interested in -ho. The former Lille star has established himself as one of the eighth most consistent in the Premier League in recent times, with Arsenal hero Paul Merson backing his former team to try and sign him.
Speaking about Bissouma on Sky Sports News in April 2021, Merson said: “From my point of view, I’m thinking that Arsenal would take him, Manchester United would take him.
“Right now there aren’t too many people in football who can break things and pass the ball at the same time.”
