A 12-year-old schoolgirl dies after being hit by a van while getting off a bus in Liverpool

A 12-year-old schoolgirl who died after being hit by a van is now named Lexi McDavid.

She was hit by a white Mercedes van as she got off the bus at Princess Drive on Tuesday, June 7, according to Merseyside police. Emergency services rushed to the scene around 3:30 p.m.

Police confirmed that the driver of the van remained at the scene and continues to assist the police with the investigation of the facts. They call anyone who has witnessed the incident or has information to contact them as soon as possible, reports Liverpool Echo.
