Toronto police are responding to an armed robbery in North York on Wednesday night.
It happened in the area of Keele Street and Finch Avenue West.
Police said two suspects managed to escape with the vehicle and a firearm was seen during the robbery.
There were no injuries and the incident is now being investigated.
Toronto has been hit by a recent surge in car thefts in and around the city.
The problem became apparent Wednesday morning when Toronto police announced that two suspected teenagers who attempted to steal at least 12 vehicles at gunpoint in an 11-day stretch last month had been arrested.
