Devin Booker and Karl-Anthony Towns have two years for their current contracts, but are now eligible to add more years and dollars to their offers. Having been named to the All-NBA team, both Booker and Towns qualify for so-called supermax contract extensions as designated players.
The planned extensions would begin with the 2024-25 seasons and would have a first-year salary of $ 47.1 million. In total, both Booker and Towns are eligible to add four years and nearly $ 211 million to their bids.
Booker was named to the All-NBA First Team in the guard position, while Towns was named to the NBA Third Team in the center position. The team they formed is irrelevant, as just being named All-NBA is enough to qualify for the designated player status needed to skip a salary level.
