Kylie Minogue has revealed that there was “a bit of pressure” for her to appear in the next final episode of Neighbors.
In an interview with Late Night With Seth Meyers yesterday (June 8), the singer talked about her early days on the set of the Australian soap opera and how she will re-play the role of Ramsay Street resident Charlene Robinson, who first appeared in the series in 1988..
“I had that role at Neighbors in 1986 … There was a bit of pressure for me to come back, so I shot my scenes in Australia,” Minogue revealed.
Elsewhere in the interview, Minogue credited the show with his later success as a musician, saying his popularity “exploded” during his tenure and included “a large part of how [she] he entered the music industry. “

Minogue also talked about how his Neighbors classmate Guy Pearce, who landed a prominent role on the show in 1986 as a troubled high school student Mike Young, would also return for the finale.
