The last farewell of TV presenter Erin Jayne Plummer

The daughter of the much-loved TV presenter Erin Jayne Plummer today paid a heartbreaking tribute to her mother’s funeral.

Erin, 42, best known for her regular morning TV appearances, left behind a large family such as her husband and three daughters, but touched the lives of countless people.

On Thursday, those who met her gathered at the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens and the Dee Why RSL on the beaches of northern Sydney, where Erin lived with her family.

A live broadcast of the service was broadcast to the RSL to accommodate those who were unable to attend the funeral in person.

Some members of Erin’s immediate family spoke of the bustling, strong, enthusiastic, and loving person she was: someone who devoted her life to making others happy and who never entered a room without making her brighter. .

Her daughters stole the show.

Erin’s daughters offer heartbreaking tributes

Erin’s ceremony began with her average daughter performing an emotional performance Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. At the end of the service, she struggled to tears to complete an interpretation Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.

Next to a large portrait of Erin’s smiling face was an intricately decorated flowered coffin.

Erin’s eldest daughter told the villains that she was still facing the death of her mother.

“Every day that goes by I still don’t think he’s gone,” said the 15-year-old.

“That a family of three girls will grow up without our mother. That’s the thought that I can’t seem to get over.

“My mother was loved by everyone. She was selfless and gave me everything to take my sisters and I to 40 activities each week.

“He brought so much light into the world that we didn’t realize his heart was in so much pain.”

The teenager talked about the loss of not having his mother walk down the aisle or meet his future children.

“Mother, I hope heaven treats you better than we do,” he said. “She is no longer ours, but we are hers forever.”

Erin’s youngest daughter later spoke of her mother’s beautiful eyes and the things she most enjoyed doing with her mother.

“My mother was the best person there has ever been. I will always love you dear mother,” she said.

“I can’t say much because it was so amazing and amazing. You were the key to the whole galaxy and the world and the whole country to me.

“The three things I enjoyed doing most with my mother were going for a walk in the morning, having lots of hugs and kisses and cooking because once we were cooking and I spilled flour all over the table and I didn’t get in trouble.

“My mom and I are a great team. Her beautiful bright eyes in the sun were always so cool.

“I will never forget my mother. I love her so much that I am even crying at my school.”

The mother reveals Erin’s sweet moment with the young Prince Harry

Erin’s mother talked to the bad guys about her daughter’s brilliant personality and how she loved her daughters with “every fiber of her being and every beat of her heart.”

But he said he got in touch with everyone, whether he knew them or not, and he had a way of connecting with perfect strangers.

“From the nasty people to Prince Harry, whom our Erin deliciously entertained when she was 17.”

Erin’s mother said a young Prince Harry was visiting Sydney from the UK when he met the teenager on Circular Quay. Erin instantly started doing magic tricks for the young royal.

“Harry was captivated,” Erin’s mother said, before adding, “to the dismay of her caretakers.”

“When Erin came into a room it was as if 20 more light bulbs had been lit,” he said.

“To our dear daughter Erin … thank you for your unconditional love for us and for all you have done for us.

“You gave the best of yourself. You can’t ask for more than that. Until we meet again … on this side or the other side of the valley, we love you with all our heart and soul.”

Erin’s father said his daughter’s “star began to shine” from a very young age.

He reviewed Erin’s long list of skills and talents, in sports and elsewhere, that kept the family busy for decades.

Her father said it was a lot of energy that never stopped.

“I’ll miss her coming in and out of the house,” he said.

“She ran through the door, you heard, she talked. Every day she would take a pickled onion from the fridge and say, ‘See you, Dad.’

“They said she could talk underwater with her mouth full of marbles.

“Erin was noisy. Look at all the photos and try to find one with her mouth shut.”

It was a familiar topic: Erin’s cousin described it as a “pocket rocket without a switch.”

Erin’s husband, Alan, told the audience that his daughters will carry out their mother’s legacy.

He said he “will never forget our first meeting,” he said it happened when Erin bumped into him deliberately in a crowd and interpreted it as an accident.

“For me and the girls you weren’t just a TV presenter, you were the best TV presenter,” she said. “I will never forget your selfless devotion to our three angels. Since you left us there are some things I want you to know.

“I want you to know that we put the mattresses together and slept together.

“I wanted you to know how I see your legacy living forever through our three angels.

“I hope you’re in heaven forever, eating your red frogs.”

“It’s lost some shine”

The ceremony was followed by a less formal mourning as friends and family gathered in Freshwater Beach after Erin’s death in late May.

Dozens of people gathered in the sand as the sun rose, and attendees were encouraged to bring “red frogs and a cheap cup of BP coffee,” both of which he loved.

The Freshwater Surf Club chaplain was also present to offer support and comfort to “everyone who needs it”.

Erin, who was known for her TVSN commercials, also appeared regularly in both Today Extra and Studio 10.

Study 10 Hosts Sarah Harris and Angela Bishop announced the death of their fellow presenter in heartbreaking tributes that were performed in part at her funeral.

Harris described her as a “magnificent human inside and out,” who told viewers that the show had “lost some shine” as a result of her death.

“The weekend, Study 10 We lost some shine with our friend and presenter Erin Jayne who died suddenly, “Harris said.

“For two decades, Erin Jayne has been a friendly, familiar face on Australian television, for much of that she has been brightening up our mornings with her bustling personality and megawatt smile.

“Erin was just a gorgeous human inside and out, and if it weren’t for television, maybe Erin Jayne would have had a sporting career.

“He represented Australia in synchronized swimming and even surfing to save lives.

“There is no doubt that Erin Jayne was a great winner and certainly a mother gold medalist for her three daughters. We will miss your sun around the Erin Jayne studio, and all of us who are here we are sending a lot of love and strength to his family “.

“Much love to her husband and children”

Erin has a degree in journalism and previously worked as an editor for Horwitz magazines. During the 2000 Olympics he was the press briefing specialist for the Sydney Olympics Organizing Committee at the Aquatic Center.

As an athlete, he represented Australia in saving the lives of surfers and synchronized swimming.

Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys also paid tribute to their colleague.

“For those of you who have been watching our show for many years, I would recognize advertising presenter Erin Jayne Plummer,” Campbell said.

“Unfortunately, yesterday we heard the news that Erin Jayne had died, and she was just a beautiful person and a friend of many of our colleagues here at Today Extra. We just want to send our thoughts to your family and friends and show them some love and support at this very, very sad time. “

A visibly emotional Jeffreys added: “Much love to her husband and children, and may she now rest in peace.”
