Brookside and Coronation Street actor James Caroll is dead.
The actor was best known to soap fans for playing Brian “Bumper” Humphreys on Brookside from 1988 to 1991.
James’ most recent appearance was on Corornation Street in January, where he played an actor named Bob opposite Mary Taylor (Patti Clare).

According to The Sun, James had suffered a pneumonia attack in 2020, but recovered completely.
The publication also reports that the actor was living with a terminal illness which meant that his arteries in his brain could rupture at any time.
Her death, which was thought to have been sudden, was announced by several friends in a series of posts on social media on Thursday.
He previously filmed a 2009 YouTube documentary about his illness where he appeared alongside his wife Justine and their children.

In the movie, he reportedly said: “I’ve been with Justine now, what … almost 13. Justine and I have had a lot of fun in 13 years.
“It’s hard to think about the worries of not being here because, you know, without knowing Justine and not having the guys, I think about these 13 years.
“If he died tomorrow, he would be a happy man. I wouldn’t be awake where he was, I wouldn’t be angry about it, because in life, experience and things like that, I’ve had a lot of fun and I’ve had so much fun. so much love and good times.
In addition to his acting career, James was also a member of the ska duo 2 Toned, where many of his friends paid tribute to the news of his passing.
His teammate wrote: “My heart is broken. Sadly, my amazing friend, mentor and brother James Caroll Jimmy is dead.
Tribute: James was a member of the musical act 2 sung with his bandmate writing: “My Heart is Broken”. My amazing friend, mentor and brother James Caroll Jimmy is sadly dead. ”
Another user wrote, “We are devastated by the sad loss of a very charming man whom we were so lucky to meet so well.”
“Jimmy and I had a great time and we had a great 12 years and over 850 shows across the country and we met and entertained thousands of wonderful people who we now call friends.”
He added: “The time on stage was sensational, but the quality time spent traveling, laughing, crying, joking and of course singing and just being an important part of others’ lives is one thing.
“I will always remember and treasure the rest of my days. I love you Jim good night until we meet again, my dear friend, enjoy, it’s later than you think.
Another user wrote: “We are devastated by the sad loss of a lovely man whom we were so lucky to meet so well. Our thoughts are with Justine and family, but also with you, Alan Taylor and your family. family, heaven has won such a wonderful angel RIP Jim, many will miss you.
