It was first reported more than a year ago, but PlayStation has announced The Last Of Us: Part 1 for PS5 and PC.
The Last Of Us: Part 1 a full price remake of the original game and its Left Behind DLC built from scratch for PlayStation 5. It is scheduled to be released on PS5 on September 2, 2022, but there is also a version for developing PC.
The game is described as a “total overhaul of the original experience” and will feature a modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options. We’re talking a new AI, a 60 FPS game, and a new combat.
Of course, it looks like the images have improved as well, with improved effects and “enhanced exploration and combat.” Below are some comparisons of the remake verse with the original. Apparently, the new character models are closer to the original performance captures.
Although the original game was released less than ten years ago, it is still a notable update to the images.
Two special versions were also announced. The deluxe digital edition that includes:
- Increased processing speed
- Increased healing rate
- Update to increase the recharging speed by 9 mm
- Upgrade to increase rifle clip capability
- Explosive Arrow Game Modifier
- Dither Punk filter
- Speedrun mode
- Six weapon skins: 9mm black gold pistol, 9mm silver filigree pistol, rubber tactical shotgun, sculpted oak shotgun, arctic white bow, carbon black bow
and the Firefly edition, which includes a steel box, as well as American Dreams Comics 1-4, as well as the following treats.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Firefly edition will only be available on PlayStation Direct, so it may not be released in Australia.
