Diablo Immortal has become Blizzard Entertainment’s worst-rated game on Metacritic with a user rating of 0.5 out of ten.
According to current user reviews on Metacritic of the free game, it is labeled “overwhelming aversion” and has more than 3,120 negative reviews. It is based on a total of 3,265 user reviews at the time of writing (via VGC).
Diablo Immortal isn’t the only Blizzard game with a low user score. The 2021 reissue of World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade also received a user rating of 0.5, which received a reaction from players for its inclusion of microtransactions.
However, the recently released Diablo title has a higher percentage of negative reviews compared to The Burning Crusade and has many more player reviews.

Diablo Immortal was released on June 2 for iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as for PC as an open beta. After its release, it received criticism for its microtransactions and it was recently calculated that a full adaptation of a character’s stats would cost players £ 87,568.
The main issues with microtransactions come from Legendary Gems, a premium game currency that is used to update statistics. These gems can only be found on the legendary shield, which are paid game loot boxes.
A Reddit player also claimed that unlocking a character’s final resonance bonus will cost players between £ 39,831 and £ 47,797 in real money.
In NME’s Diablo Immortal review, Jen Allen said: “A five-minute session can soon turn into an hour or more, with constant gratification that will keep you hooked for several hours. The final game may be prohibitive for perfectionist player, but for everyone else, just enjoy the experience in the meantime.
In other news, Activision has confirmed that Warzone 2 will restore player progression when it is released later this year.
