Square Enix is hosting the Final Fantasy 7 broadcast next week to celebrate the game’s 25th anniversary, and many fans will be waiting to see a preview of Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Part 2.
Streaming to the publisher’s YouTube and Twitch channels will take place on June 16 at 3pm Pacific / 6pm East / 11pm UK (hence June 17 at 9:00 AEDT).
It’s unclear what Square Enix will announce during the ten-minute broadcast, but it promised fans “a first look at all the information on the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7.”
While fans may be waiting for some news on the highly anticipated Remake: Part 2, it’s worth noting that Square Enix has several spin-offs underway from the classic PlayStation RPG and might just be announcing new information about it. Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura said last month that Square Enix would announce “several things” during a birthday event, but again, it didn’t go into further detail.
Other Final Fantasy 7 games include The First Soldier and the upcoming mobile role-playing game Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, but the ads may be completely unrelated to the game, more like the recent revelation of the clothing line. More spin-offs are also planned, and Nomura said in January that “there will be even more new Final Fantasy 7 projects that started after the remake in the future as well. The team sees this 25th anniversary as a turning point. reference in our journey, with Final Fantasy 7, and will continue to move forward for even bigger things. “

Remake: Part 2 was confirmed to be in full swing in July 2020, but Square Enix has remained silent about the sequel. In our 8/10 review of Part 1, IGN said: “The boring stuffing and tricky additions of Final Fantasy 7 Remake can make you stumble, but it still gives an exciting new life to a classic while staying as a great role play “.
