On Thursday, Britney Spears married Sam Asghari on an eventful, dramatic, difficult but ultimately happy occasion for the star.
Spears, 40, revealed on Friday that in preparation for the big moment, he had a panic attack. It is unclear if this was before or after her ex-husband tried to crash the party.
“Wow !!! Holy cr * p !!! WE DID IT !!! WE WERE MARRIED !!! Gggggeeeeezzzzz !!! [sic] It was the most spectacular day !!! “Spears wrote on Instagram.
“I was very nervous all morning, but then at 14:00 it hit me hard … WE’LL GET MARRIED !!!” she continued. “I had a panic attack and then I got it.”
Prior to the ceremony, Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander, with whom she had been married for less than three days after a ceremony in Las Vegas in 2004, had tried to interrupt the proceedings.
Alexander, 40, was arrested and later arrested by police on four counts, including admission, and the couple quickly received a restraining order. A childhood friend of the star, he was seen in video footage declaring his intention to crash the party and questioning the lack of family at the event.
Attendees, however, included Madonna, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton and Madonna.
Despite the nerves and possible setbacks, Spears enjoyed the day and celebrated it in style.
“The crew who turned our house into a dream castle was fantastic !!! The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better !!! Lots of amazing people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock! !! ” wrote Spears.
