Two people were killed at the scene of a two-vehicle collision in the York region on Saturday morning, according to police.
York Regional Police said the crash happened on Warden Avenue and Stouffville Road in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, around 8:45 a.m.
The collision involved a dump truck and a Toyota vehicle, police said.
Unfortunately, two people have been pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Warden Ave and Stouffville Road. The incident took place at 8.45 am when a transport truck and a Toyota were involved. The intersection will be closed for a few hours for investigation.

The intersection will remain closed for several hours while police investigate the site.
“All witnesses are being asked not to speak to police, or anyone with images of the collision’s dashboard camera,” York police said in a press release on Saturday.
“We would also like to speak with anyone who has seen any of the vehicles or has information about driving behavior prior to the collision.”
Police say the intersection will remain closed for several hours due to the investigation.
