Waves of up to five meters have hit the NSW coast again today, and authorities fear it could lead to further coastal erosion.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) urged people to stay away from the beaches, and issued a warning of dangerous surfing around 6 a.m. stretching from Byron in the north of the state to Eden to the south.
He advised people to stay out of the water and avoid walking near areas exposed to surfing.

Surfers at risk have been seen, including several daring on the beaches of North Narrabeen, using jet skis to reach mammoth waves.
The news is a concern for residents of Byron Bay, Wamberal, Stockton and Collaroy, where coastal erosion has affected properties in recent years.
Yesterday beaches like Bondi, Coogee and Maroubra were closed by lifeguards.
Strong surfing is likely to continue throughout the day and possibly until tomorrow.
