A GP, who wished to remain anonymous, said he had witnessed how the PAs where he worked had been used. “They were fantastic colleagues and trained to do certain functions, but not to do basically as much work as a GP. They were doing the same job as us, with less experience, less qualifications and earning less money,” he said.
