Driving “Ruined My Life”: Liberal MP Tim Smith Reflects on Alcohol Driving Incident

Tim Smith has broken his silence over the drink-driving incident that shook his political career seven months ago.

Mr. Smith resigned from the Shadow Cabinet after crashing his car into a Hawthorn fence, while more than twice the legal blood alcohol limit, he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.131.

The Liberal MP’s voice was broken when he described the experience as “indescribably humiliating”.
