Central Okanagan Emergency Operations declared a state of local emergency shortly after 2 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, saying it was doing so due to flooding along Mission Creek, Scotty Creek and the upper stretch of Mill. Creek.

The Emergency Operations Center noted that KLO Road to KLO Bridge, between Leader and Spiers Roads, is suffering from intermittent closures due to debris clearing. Signs are in place to direct traffic.

“Emergency operations center staff are working with other response agencies to manage the situation and minimize impacts,” the regional district said.
