Vancouver Killarney High School was blocked immediately after a person was seen carrying an ax, school officials say.
Confinement ended around 12 p.m.
Vancouver police said the search for Killarney Secondary ended without finding any suspects.

On Thursday, police said their emergency response team was heading to the school to report a person with a gun.
Police said officers were at the scene and conducted a room-by-room search.
“All students and staff are safe inside the building, no one is injured,” the Vancouver School Board said in a statement.
Police said they would continue the investigation into the incident.
