The Peel Regional Police homicide unit is investigating after a 30-year-old man was shot dead in Mississauga overnight.
Police responded to a shooting at a townhouse complex in the Alana Glen and Stargazer units near Mavis Road and Eglinton Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police said a 30-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. He later succumbed to his wounds.
The identity of the victim has not yet been revealed. Police said the man was living in one of the units in the house complex.
The suspect fled the area. No description has been published at this time.
