Discussion point: What are you playing this weekend? (June 18)

Is it a sweeper where you are, readers? It has certainly been in the UK this week. But video game news has also been pretty interesting! Hollow Knight: Silksong is alive with a new trailer! Details of a new Fire Emblem game are appearing online. Fans of Final Fantasy VII are celebrating the news that the prequel Crisis Core starring Zack Fair is being remastered and will arrive on Switch. And no DLC is planned for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. However.

In other news, Neon White is an absolute belt not to be missed. We’ve listed all the best cat games you can get on your trusted Switch. And we interviewed the developers of the Zelda game: Minish Cap-meets-Stardew Valley Moonstone Island.

Now is the time to relax and talk about our weekend game plans. Some members of the Nintendo Life team have done so below, so feel free to read our posts and then join us through our comments section. Enjoy!

Hello! This weekend, I’m in the mood for some retro goodness, so I’ll probably boot up the NES and SNES apps for Nintendo Switch Online and get into some classic Mario and Zelda games. There’s really nothing like Super Mario World, right?

Elsewhere, I’ll try Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge on Game Pass. The Xbox service is my favorite when I want to try a certain game before inevitably throwing some cash for the Switch version! It worked for Streets of Rage 4, why not this one?

This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. I’m absolutely excited to play with my partner, but here’s the problem: we both have the same favorite turtle, Donatello! I think maybe I should play like April or Leonardo here to keep the peace.

I also look forward to starting Neon White and Omori this weekend. I didn’t plan on getting Neon White right away, but then the reviews came and I gave in. The soundtrack to Machine Girl is also amazing (listen to Vol. 1 and Vol. 2!). Omori, I’ve been waiting for the console version for a long time. I’ve heard so many fantastic things, and the mix of horror, mental health, and role subversions is my jam.

My wallet is suffering after a weekend and three new games. Can you tell And this is just the beginning of the summer of games. Ugh. Have a great weekend, everyone!

With all the recent Final Fantasy VII announcements, I thought I’d finally bite the bullet and play the original. I’m not the biggest shift lover, but since the Switch version is portable and also has x3 speed, I’m enjoying it a lot so far. In fact, I’ve never played the original before, so I’m really excited to play it!

I will also be reviewing my hunting skills to prepare for the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak by playing the new tasty demo. Good hunting!

What a lovely weekend ahead! Great physical arrivals include wonders like Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, Bloodrayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites and the charming Wonder Boy Returns Remix. Alice has become stronger than any tank in this latest stretch of Valkyria Chronicles. The action of the belt is more than assured by Final Vendetta along with …

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is not only my game of the week, it could be the game of the year 2022. A long childhood dream came true thanks to the perfect mix of talent and material love of origin of Tribute Games. Alone or with friends, this is a must Video game history 101. Cowabunga!

DOGMA OF THE DRAGON II !!! THEY ARE DOING THE DOGMA OF A DRAGON II. However, I will not play Dragon’s Dogma again, as I finished it recently after playing it slowly for the past two years.

However, I’m in this awkward “I don’t want to start anything new” mood, so all the games in my wallet will be delayed for a while and instead I’ll play Hollow Knight, I’ll try to finish Return of the Play Dinn, and maybe see if I can get to the end of AI: The Somnium Files before the new one comes out!

As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend game plans!
