Warren Buffett saved the best and the biggest for the end, as the lunch auction with the billionaire set a record.
One person offered more than $ 19 million for dinner with the “Oracle of Omaha” on the 21st and last time the businessman auctioned off a private lunch for the benefit of a San Francisco charity.
The successful bidder could not be identified immediately.

An eBay spokeswoman said the lunch was the most expensive item ever sold on the company’s website to benefit the charity.

The winning bid in the eBay auction that ended Friday night far surpassed the previous record of $ 4.57 million, paid in 2019 by cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun.

The COVID-19 pandemic prevented lunches from taking place in 2020 and 2021.
