Up to 25 people injured in navigation incident at Horizontal Falls in northwest WA

Up to 25 people could be injured after a boating incident at the famous Horizontal Waterfalls in the northwest of the state.

Initial reports suggest that the boat, believed to be a tourist boat, may have capsized or run aground while exploring the popular Talbot Bay attraction, about 250 km east of Broome.

WA Country Health was called to the scene about 100km north of Derby at around 8.30am on Friday, however, a spokeswoman said the organization was not yet aware of the incident. scope of people’s wounds.

A WA police statement confirmed that emergency services responded to the incident and that “several people on board are injured.”
