Jeremy McGovern hospitalized after suffering a rib fracture in a brutal collision

West Coast Eagles star Jeremy McGovern was forced to spend the night in hospital after a brutal confrontation that left him with broken ribs.

McGovern was replaced in the West Coast clash with Geelong on Saturday after a second-quarter collision with Cats striker Jeremy Cameron.

The collision left the four-time All-Australian backman on all fours on the grass before Eagles medical staff helped him get off the ground.
