Taxi Jumps Curb, seriously injuring 3 pedestrians in Manhattan

On Monday afternoon, three people were taken to critical condition after a taxi jumped on the sidewalk of Manhattan’s Flatiron District and collided with several pedestrians, authorities said.

At around 1 p.m., according to firefighters, the vehicle crashed into a building near 29th Street and Broadway, an area full of bars, restaurants and hotels.

The taxi was still at the scene around 7.30pm, and the police department was investigating the cause of the crash.

The most seriously injured were taken to Bellevue Hospital.
