Parents and young children are the big winners of the 2022 New South Wales budget with the government announcing $ 150 back-to-school vouchers for children.
NSW Prime Minister Dominic Perrottet said these vouchers serve to increase the family budget as the cost of living continues to rise.
“We want to give our kids the best start to the school year while suppressing family budget pressure, leaving more money in their pockets at the end of the week,” she said.

How do you get the voucher?
The voucher will be available through the NSW Service app starting next year, which is the easiest way to access it.
Customer Service Secretary Victor Dominello also said parents can access the $ 150 bonus through their MyServiceNSW account or by visiting a service center.

Treasurer Matt Kean recommended that the $ 150 be spent on school uniforms, shoes, bags, textbooks and stationery.
Basically, the voucher can be used for any cost associated with school attendance to help parents out of pocket while facing other rising living costs.
How long will the program last?
It will run from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023.
