Tricolors coach Trent Robinson has called the speculation linking the Roosters with a Payne Haas move “silly.”
The 22-year-old filed a shock request for the immediate release of the Broncos on Wednesday night, which was later denied by the Red Hill club.
Haas has been linked to the Roosters in the past, and James Hooper of the Fox League confirmed that there was dialogue between the two sides about six weeks ago.

Today, Robinson has rejected a potential move for the Blues superstar.
“It’s just another week with another player linked to our club. He’s still out there, but he has nothing to do with us, “Robinson said.
“Obviously it’s a dispute for them up there. Changing the approach to another club or our club, you don’t have to think about it because you have nothing.
“That’s obviously what they’re trying to do … It’s pretty insignificant for what we’re trying to do week in and week out.”
The Roosters already have a contract headache on their hands, and the club have yet to sign gunslinger Angus Crichton’s contract for the 2023 season.

“It simply came to our notice then. There are no internal discussions, no external discussions, “Robinson said.
Haas is currently hired until the end of the 2024 season with a deal that is said to be worth $ 800,000 a season.
As it stands, Haas could earn more than $ 1 million in the open market, and his management is looking for a $ 1 million contract for this season with an upgrade to $ 1.2 million in 2024.
