Amber Heard’s fiery final exchange with Depp’s lawyer as new photographic evidence is exposed

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, blew their horns in a final firefight on Thursday, before the testimony in the defamation case of the former couple finally came to an end.

Heard and Vasquez clashed during an interrogation in which Vasquez told Heard, “Your lies have been exposed to the world several times, haven’t they?”

“I haven’t lied about anything I’ve been here to say,” Heard replied.

A tense exchange ensued in which Vasquez told Heard that he knew the media would be in court when he went to file a restraining order against Depp on May 27, 2016 and had “alerted” the entertainment news site TMZ of the fact that it was happening.

“No, I didn’t,” Heard replied. “I didn’t call TMZ or any other news source or paparazzi source, anyone.”

Vasquez commented on the testimony of TMZ journalist Morgan Tremaine who sent paparazzi to court to catch a bruise on the right side of Heard’s face.

Tremaine previously stated that his goal was to “capture her [Heard] leaving the court and then going to stop for a while and turn to the camera to show the bruise on the right side of his face.

Vasquez told Heard the information must have come from Heard’s team.

“Absolutely not,” Heard replied. “Why would I want that? What real survivor of domestic violence wants this?

Video of Depp and the cabinet

Heard also denied leaking a video of Depp breaking kitchen cabinets on TMZ.

Heard had previously testified that she had nothing to do with the release of the video.

Tremaine had previously testified that TMZ posted the images 15 minutes after receiving them.

Vasquez told Heard that the video posted by TMZ was different from the version of the video played during the room.

TMZ’s video was missing part of the video that allegedly showed Heard “smiling.”

“I know you testified before that you weren’t smiling at this trial, but I’m sure you’ve been caught smiling at that video,” Vásquez said.

“I don’t agree with that,” Heard replied. “Everyone can watch this video and you can determine if you think it’s fun for me or not.”

Vasquez told Heard that the published video was missing that part because it came from her.

“No, no,” Heard replied.

“You edited the parts that made you look bad before you sent them to TMZ,” Vasquez said.

Heard laughed as he said, “You’re very wrong about that. If I had wanted to leak information, I could have done it more effectively, much earlier.”

Heard said he made the video but did not leak it. He also said he did not know how TMZ got it.

Vasquez showed Heard a photo, already presented as evidence, of Heard photographed with a bruise on his face as he went to get a restraining order against Depp.

New photo presented as proof

Vasquez showed Heard a new photo, taken by Heard and his friend Rocky Pennington, allegedly taken a day later.

Heard said he “had no idea” when the picture was taken.

“There’s no bruise on his face in this photo, is there?” Vasquez said.

“Again, I don’t know when this was taken and I’m also out, obviously wearing makeup. I have no idea when that was taken. “

Vasquez showed Heard another photo of Heard taken during the same outing.

“There’s no bruising on your face in this picture either, is there?” Vasquez said.

“I don’t agree. If it’s taken when you think it was taken, I obviously have a bruise on my face. It’s covered in makeup as usual,” Heard replied.

At another point in the proceedings, Vasquez asked Heard about the date two more photos were already submitted, both showing the same bottle of wine spilled on the floor.

In a previous testimony, Heard had attributed the images in question to two alleged incidents: one in December 2015 and the other in May 2016.

But the photos seemed to be from the same scene.

“So what is it?” Vasquez asked. “If you are telling the truth you will know. Credit: CourtTV

“So what is it?” Vasquez asked. “If you tell the truth, you will know.

Heard replied, “Do you recognize a portion of wine spilled on a floor and I’m supposed to know it by the top of my head when you’ve lived five years of these things?

“I do not think so. That’s not how it works. “

After the exchange, Judge Penney Azcarate threatened to clean up the courtroom if he heard anything from the gallery.

Leaving a brief sidebar, Azcarate told attendees that he did not want “no words or sounds to come.”

“If I hear another sound, I will clean up the gallery and continue this testimony without anyone in the room,” he added. “Do you understand? Well?”

Heard’s lawyer redirects

Following a redirect, Heard’s attorney asked Heard about allegations of falsifying bruises and photos of the alleged abuse he allegedly suffered by Depp during their relationship.

Heard replied, “Absolutely not.”

He also defended his inability to immediately indicate on what date a photo of the spilled wine was taken when Depp’s lawyer asked him about it during cross-examination.

“It’s easy not to know the context of an image of spilled wine, because there are so many more important details, images and also a lot of things I didn’t photograph,” Heard said.

Heard’s lawyer Benjamin Rottenborn asked again what Heard had suffered as a result of statements made by former Depp lawyer Adam Waldman in the Daily Mail in 2020, in which he described his allegations of abuse as a “deception.”

“‘This is just an echo of the violence and abuse I suffered in our relationship.’

He listened to Depp’s reference text messages in response.

Messages filed in court included ones in which Depp reported that he wanted Heard to suffer “global humiliation” after she applied for a protection order.

“What you see in this room is an echo,” Heard said.

“This room and the other room I was dragged to do the same thing again.

“It simply came to our notice then.

“It simply came to our notice then [were] blocking me, trying to ruin my career.

“The threats he has made to humiliate me globally are being experienced in real time, in front of you, ladies and gentlemen, for the last six weeks, and for the whole world, because there are cameras here.”
