Twin’s tribute to Sister Lexi that he will “never forget” after the tragic accident

Lexi McDavid’s devastated twin sister paid an emotional tribute to her brother on an emotional eve celebrating his life.

Parents and grandparents joined schoolchildren in Huyton Village as people mourned 12-year-old Lexi McDavid, who died after being hit by a white Mercedes van when she got off a bus on Princess Drive in Huyton on Tuesday, May 7. June.

Her family was among those giving speeches, including her 12-year-old twin sister. He talked about life at home with Lexi before telling the crowd that he would “never forget” and that he would “always miss” his sister.

Her twin sister Lois said: “When someone told us to go to bed and we were standing at our doorstep sending us messages or FaceTiming, and our pampering nights, I would miss this and more. Our little one Jammy Dodger.

“I will love her no matter what, whether we are together or apart. Lexi is that gift I never asked for but always wanted. She was and is my world, we will never forget you and we will always miss our little one Lexi “.

The evening began with an emotional minute of applause for Lexi. Speakers played Dani and Lizzy’s Dancing in the Sky and live performers sang some of their favorite songs.

Family member Susie Murphy said: “Lexi was a wonderful twin with a lifetime ahead of her. Her family has a broken heart as you can imagine.”

Gerard Peston, principal of Broughton Hall Catholic High School, where Lexi was a student. He said: “Lexi was a much-loved student at Broughton Hall, by the staff and her classmates. She was a brilliant, articulate, fun and intelligent student.
