Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall will be divorced after six years, according to a report.
The media mogul declared himself the “happiest man in the world” when he married the former supermodel in London in March 2016.
But the couple must separate, the New York Times reported, citing two people who were aware of the decision.
It would be the 91-year-old media titan’s fourth divorce.
There were no immediate details of any agreement between him and Hall, 65, who previously had a long-term relationship with Sir Mick Jagger, with whom he has four children.
However, it was not expected to affect ownership of Murdoch’s international business empire.
His family’s shares in Murdoch-founded companies are in a managed trust.
The voting rights of the trust are shared with her four eldest children: Lachlan, Elisabeth, James and Prudence.
Murdoch and his family are worth $ 17.7 billion, according to Forbes.
