Fitbit has just launched a new feature called ‘Sleep Profile’, reserved for Fitbit Premium users. While Fitbit is already able to analyze your sleep quality and pattern very well (no need for Fitbit Premium), the new sleep profile offers a more detailed analysis.
The sleep profile analyzes your sleep through ten key metrics each month, including sleep duration and peace of mind, as well as new metrics such as variability in sleep schedule and sleep disruption.
Users will also see some fun factors when they look at your sleep analysis by portraying them as one of six sleeping animals, from the giraffe to the turtle.
The analysis was made possible by researching 1.87 million sleep records by a neurologist, sleep experts and research scientists. The sleep profile analyzes your sleep through 10 key metrics each month and then compares the data with the general population with the same age sex.
You can then use these data metrics to further improve your sleep and your overall life.
To learn more about how the feature works and what kind of data you can analyze and do things about, be sure to read the official Fitbit Premium Sleep Profile website.
