Three other RFDS doctors are providing coordination and telephone assistance from an operations center in Jandakot, a suburb south-east of Perth.
The first group of patients with minor injuries (cuts and scratches) were transported to Broome by seaplane for further evaluation and treatment at Broome Hospital.

About 12 more patients with more serious injuries will be transferred to Perth or Broome for treatment on Friday afternoon.
The RFDS works with police, the State National Health Service, Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures and Mt Gibson Iron on Koolan Island.
A spokeswoman for the WA Country Health Service said Friday morning that hospitals in the region were waiting to receive patients from the scene, with Broome Health Campus activating a pending emergency alert.
