According to the district, fourteen children and a teacher have died after an active shooter was reported at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
The consolidated independent school district of Uvalde told reporters that the shooter was near campus and asked people to stay away from the area.
“There’s an active shooter at Robb Elementary,” the school district said in a tweet. “Law enforcement is in place. Your cooperation is needed right now so you don’t visit the campus. As soon as more information is gathered, it will be shared.”
The shooting forced the school to close. Students will be transported to St Willie Delon Civic Center where they will be reunited with their parents.
