Difficult moment: Martine McCutcheon, 46, says she felt like she was “losing her mind” as she went through menopause

In his HRT, he said: “It has been very important for me, there are still some adjustments and tweaks to be made.

“I have been very fortunate to be guided by the force of nature that is Davina and Naomi Potter is a welcome to the women who spend this time.

“When we’re all losing our minds, this lady is calm, serene and so wise with the whole situation.”

Speaking: The actress went to her Instagram page this week to share a clip of herself talking about the perimenopausal experience and moving on to hormone replacement therapy

It comes after former Big Brother presenter Davina said her severe menopausal symptoms made her feel like she had a “brain tumor or Alzheimer’s” after a mistake on television.

She told Sophie Raworth on Sunday morning on BBC One that her menopause had “aged” her and made her feel “embarrassed” and “irrelevant”.

Davina, who recently wrote a book on the subject, titled Menopausing, said the brain fog she experienced during perimenopause led her to make a mistake in her work.

Offering hope: Martine praised Davina McCall, 54, for talking about her severe menopausal symptoms and how they made her fear she had a brain tumor or dementia.

He revealed that during a particularly vulnerable time, he burst into tears, thinking he was suffering from “a brain tumor or Alzheimer’s or something.”

“During perimenopause, hormones go up and down and up and down, so you think you’re going completely crazy,” Davina said.

“I felt like I was getting older, I felt like it would make me irrelevant, I felt embarrassed because I had always felt at the forefront of my game.

“At the time I had been on TV for 20 years, I really knew what I was doing, I was very proud of my kind of list building and my logistics practice and being able to do multiple tasks,” he said.

But Davina revealed that her skills were hampered by menopause as she remembered making a mistake on television.

“Someone asked me if I was okay because I was wrong on a TV show, and I said yes, and when he closed the door and left, I burst into tears,” he told Sophie.

“Because I thought‘ I’m not okay, I think I have a brain tumor, or I have Alzheimer’s or something, help me, ’” the presenter added.
