COVID-19 update on June 25, 2022

WA Health reports a total of 4,394 new cases as of 6 p.m. last night. There are currently 28,412 active cases in Western Australia.

As of 6pm last night, there were 242 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 8 in the ICU.

Unfortunately, today’s report includes five new deaths, dating back to May 24, which were reported yesterday at WA Health.

This includes two men and a woman in her 90s and two women in her 80s.

Due to confidentiality requirements, the Department will not provide further information on such cases.

Notes

  1. These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
  2. The remaining reported daily cases (74) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.

Of the 4,394 cases, 1,574 were confirmed by the PCR test, the remaining 2,820 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.

A total of 6,133 PCR tests were performed yesterday in public or private pathology clinics.

WA has reported 880,808 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
