One of the first favorites of the 2019 season of The Bachelorette has undergone a major medical procedure, he announced on social media.
Former American high school contestant Cam Ayala has had her leg amputated, revealed her most recent post on social media.
The 33-year-old, who appeared in interior designer Hannah Brown’s long-running dating season in 2019, took to Instagram to share her battle for health with her followers.
“Gotta lotta BROMENTUM with @ b.rapp #amputee #CAMputee #FAITHoverFEAR” read the Instagram headline that accompanied a photo of Ayala in a hospital bed at Texas Medical Center, with much of her right leg similar to have been removed.
The reason for the procedure was lymphedema, a disease that Ayela has been suffering from for a long time.
The condition, according to the Mayo Clinic, is the result of the lymph vessels not draining the lymph nodes enough, resulting in a backup of fluid that causes swelling in the affected region of the body, usually the arms or legs.
In a recent interview, Ayala, who also appeared in the sixth season of the US Baccalaureate in Paradisehe reflected on how his diagnosis seemed to take into account his final destiny as a contestant The bachelor.
“In short, it started very well. I got the first rose before it was the first impression, and that had never happened before [on the show]”, recalled the sales director in a June 15 episode of the” Maybe God “podcast.
He added: “Honestly, when I was out there and I got the first rose, I felt asserted very quickly. And honestly that was the curse. Because there was a very big target placed on my back among the men of And about three weeks after the trip there, I decided to open up to the bachelor about my chronic illness, called lymphedema …
“When I opened up to her, some of the other guys at the mansion heard [it] I need to approach her after this conversation and basically accuse myself of having invented this story of medical sobs so that I could get what they called a “rose of pity.”
“And unfortunately the boys’ narrative was believed and they sent me home that night, ”he concluded.
Brown eventually chose Jed Wyatt as his fiancé in the end, but they soon separated when it emerged that Wyatt was in a relationship with another woman before filming.
In another of Ayala’s recent posts on Instagram, shared four days ago, the self-proclaimed “king of the dance floor” appears in a video in which he appears to be preparing and going through a “last” day of exercise before amputation.
“The last time a COMPLETE compression sleeve was put on and taken off … 23 years of love / hate,” he wrote.
“My FINAL leg workout that God gives #SweatCheck,” says the text superimposed on the image.
