Putin hits Kyiv with a massive missile attack as the G7 begins in Germany

Russian missiles fell in Kyiv early Sunday, killing one person and killing four, including a 7-year-old girl, in the largest attack on the Ukrainian capital in weeks. The missiles fired into the city at dawn, according to The Wall Street Journal, with a crash against a residential building, causing casualties. Another landed in an empty playground, while Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down one on the outskirts of Kyiv. The attack came as G7 leaders gathered in Germany to discuss further punishments against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. U.S. President Joe Biden said the attacks were more indicative of Russia’s “barbarism” during the war.
