A Melbourne radio duo has revealed their encounter with J Lo, after hearing her rant “very loudly” about them.
A Melbourne radio duo has talked about their unbearable encounter with Jennifer Lopez.
Dressed up and down with Santa Claus costumes and $ 2 store gifts, KIIS FM host Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw were preparing to interview the 52-year-old megastar for his pre-Christmas concert tour of 2012.
But before he even sat down with Lopez, the couple listened Hustlers actress in an almighty rant about her festive dress, McMahon said 9 Entertainment.
“It seemed like a really good idea and Christmas was coming up, so we both dressed up for Santa,” he said.
“We were in a green room fully dressed upside down like Santa Claus and then we heard Jennifer Lopez outside, saying very loudly to her security guard,‘ Who the hell are those holes I’m dealing with now. It’s better not to have Christmas bulls when you go in. “
McMahon said the hosts, who at the time were just college students, began to panic and took off “beards and hats,” but were forced to stay in their clothes with no time to change.
“We said the red hairy clothes were that year,” McMahon added.
McMahon, who is competing in the new season of Celebrity apprentice along with Whitelaw, he also opened up about the awkward chat in an interview with news.com.au in 2018, saying Lopez was “so intimidating.”
“She’s not a tall woman, but she had these Prada sun dresses and they didn’t come off. We were underground in Rod Laver and they just didn’t come out,” McMahon said.
“Because we hadn’t been paid yet and neither of us were working, we were just college students, we could only afford the $ 2 store gifts. Like, we have a fly. In fact, he gave us a fly in the ass Jennifer Lopez! And one of those very weak plastic bowling games. “
However, the couple said that they finally managed to recover from their rugged start once the chat started.
“It’s hard to remember everything that happened, but I think the interview itself would have been terrible,” Whitelaw said.
“On his credit he was warm. As soon as he realized we were just trying to have fun, he was very nice and showed that he also liked gifts, which we appreciated.”
