Kyrie Irving finally opted for his deal with the Brooklyn Nets on Monday afternoon, and somehow believes that makes him “different.”
Irving, after seemingly countless rumors and speculation about what he would do next year, looks set to participate in his nearly $ 37 million deal with the Nets for next season. This came after reports of a “deadlock” between Irving and the Nets ’reception, reports that he was potentially going to sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers and more.
However, Irving, after apparently telling the deal to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, dropped a very strange date.
“Normal people keep the world going, but those who dare to be different lead us to tomorrow,” he told Charania. “I’ve made my decision to sign up. See you in the fall. A11even.”
Trying to make yourself look like a revolutionary for having accepted nearly $ 37 million to live in Brooklyn and play basketball is definitely a way to do that.
The sports world, of course, had a lot of jokes ready. With a date like this, it’s hard to blame them.
