Despite all the misleading talk about the Champions League final on Saturday night between Liverpool and Real Madrid, a former redshirt is confident that his old team will come to victory.
Steven Gerrard has confidently predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s team will win the Whites 2-0 in Paris, and has posted a video message on the club’s official Twitter account.
Gerrard, who won the Champions League title with Liverpool in 2005, was filming from the Stade de France, where he attended Liverpool’s last training session before the grand final.

“You can feel the atmosphere being created. I would like to wish everyone the best of luck at Liverpool, and I hope they get the result that everyone wants,” Gerrard begins.
“I’m excited about the game and the fans are training very well outside the stadium.”
As it looked like Gerrard would continue to offer standard communities to his former club, the Aston Villa boss threw a curved ball at the end to jeopardize his reputation in the prediction business.
“I hope it’s a great game and I predict a 2-0 win for Liverpool,” said Gerrard.

Predicting that Real Madrid will not find the net is a risky business, given the path taken by Carlo Ancelotti’s team to the final, scoring multiple brilliant goals against PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City.
They also have Karim Benzema, the top scorer in the Champions League this season, with 15 amazing goals in 11 games. Liverpool’s top scorer in the competition, Mohamed Salah, has eight.
Liverpool have been driven by the news that both Thiago and Fabinho will be fit to play, and Gerrard is not the only one who trusts Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip at the heart of the Reds’ defense.
