Environment Canada confirms that 3 tornadoes will land in Saskatchewan

Environment Canada has confirmed that three tornadoes landed in Saskatchewan on Wednesday afternoon.

Tornadoes were near Foam Lake, Manitou / Watrous Beach and the Cymric / Govan area.

Highway 16 closed because a tornado near Foam Lake, about 200 miles northeast of Regina, dropped the grain containers and pushed them onto the road. In addition, power lines were down and CP railroads had to be temporarily shut down, according to the federal weather agency.

The Watrous and Manitou beach area is about 150 miles west of Foam Lake. The Cymric / Govan area is about 100 kilometers northwest of Regina.

There were two other possible landings in the Cymric / Govan area around 6:00 pm CST., Which Environment Canada will investigate.
