Following the release of Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder,” it has been confirmed that several actors who had been linked to the project did not appear.
Filmmaker Taika Waititi himself has admitted that he finds his films “in the post” and, as a result, some roles that may have been significant from the start are left out or completely eliminated.
A name that has emerged from the blue is “Game of Thrones” actress Lena Headey, who according to Variety is being sued by her former British agency Troika for allegedly unpaid commissions on three projects, including the new “Thor”.
Part of Headey’s official response, she says the role came after Waititi approached her directly. The point of sale confirms that Headey does not appear in the final cut of the film.
She’s not the only one who doesn’t show up. Actor Christian Bale, who plays the villain in the movie Gorr, confirmed to Prensa Escenario (via Total Film) that both Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum filmed scenes for the film, but did not the final cut.
“I worked with Peter Dinklage, this is not in the final film, but it is fantastic. I worked with Jeff Goldblum, he’s not in the final film either. As you can see, a lot of things end up on the floor of the cutting room, even though they are bright and beautiful things. “
“Thor: Love and Thunder” opens in theaters on July 8th.
