Does Brexit add to the UK energy crisis?

So far, a common energy shock explains most of the inflation we have seen. The structure of the energy price cap may explain why we have increased now, later than in the rest of Europe. But if over the next year these inflation figures remain higher here in the UK than the rest of the advanced European and global economies, the shadow of post-Brexit policy changes that only really affect that country will widen.
