Detective Chief Inspector Marc Bowes has urged people who may have seen something unusual in the Binnie Street area on June 25 or 26 to show up to help police.
Somaiya Begum has been missing for six days.
In the video posted on Twitter, a direct call has been made to Somaiya.
Detective Chief Inspector Marc Bowes said: “I would also like to appeal directly to Somaiya, if you are looking at this appeal, please contact me in the way you think is most appropriate.” .
Somaiya Begum is described as an Asian woman of slender complexion and black hair. They last saw her in black denim jeans, a black top and a black headscarf.
