Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has revealed why he was taken to hospital last week.
Writing on Instagram, the 46-year-old, who is married to reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian, said Monday he had gone to the hospital for an endoscopy “feeling great.”
“But after dinner, I developed unbearable pain and have been hospitalized ever since.
“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed just in a very sensitive area, usually manipulated by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.
“This caused life-threatening severe pancreatitis.”
He added: “I am very, very grateful that with intensive treatment I am much better right now.”
Last Tuesday, Barker was seen taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on a stretcher.
A 43-year-old Kardashian in a black tracksuit was standing next to her.
On Thursday, her 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker shared a photo on Instagram of her hand placed next to her father’s, showing off her distinctive tattoo.
The post was accompanied by the caption: “Thank you guys for all the prayers and love, I thank you and I love you all.”
