The couple posted on their social media verified accounts about Barker’s recent hospitalization.
“I went to an endoscopy on Monday feeling really good,” Barker wrote in a note posted to his Instagram stories. “But after dinner, I developed unbearable pain and have been hospitalized ever since.”
The Blink 182 drummer explained that during his endoscopy he had “a very small polyp removed just in a very sensitive area, usually manipulated by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube”.
“This caused severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” he wrote. “I’m very grateful that with intensive treatment I’m much better right now.”
Barker and Kardashian were officially married in May and held a grand celebration in Portofino, Italy. He also shared Barker’s note in his Instastories.
“Oh, what a most terrifying and emotional week it has been,” he wrote. “Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change.”
The enterprising and reality star wrote that she was “thankful to God for healing my husband” and “for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support.”
“I’m very excited and grateful,” Kardashian wrote. “I am so grateful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.”
