Check out your Samsung TV now! You may have just received an update that changes the game

If you have a new Samsung TV, you could enjoy serious treatment. The Korean technology company has revealed that it has begun releasing a major update to its latest fabrics that will allow owners to play games without the need for a console. The update is thanks to a new service called Gaming Hub that Samsung says offers users an optimized game stream without the need for a console or computer.

Now, before you think this is just another group of basic time-wasting titles, this update has more stuff than it looks.

That’s because Gaming Hub offers TV owners the opportunity to play titles on numerous platforms, such as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Google Stadia, Utomik, and soon the Amazon Luna news service.

With Samsung joining forces with such big names, it means there are a number of major titles to play, including FIFA, Skyrim, Forza and Halo Infinite, to name a few.

Everything is streamed on the big screen via the web and the controllers can be linked so that players have the best experience.

Of course, you’ll have to subscribe to services like Xbox Games Pass to play, but it certainly saves you having to buy a £ 300 Xbox.

Speaking about the upgrade, Won-Jin Lee, president and head of Samsung Electronics’ business services team, said: “The Samsung Gaming Hub combines Samsung’s leadership in streaming technology with our experience in creating the most cutting-edge hardware in the industry, removing barriers to entry so people can play. “

“With the widening of partnerships between major game play services and expert-selected recommendations, players will be able to easily browse and discover games from the widest selection available, regardless of platform.”

TVs that are now compatible with this new Gaming Hub include all 2022 Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLED and 2022 series of smart monitors.
