Fireworks are scheduled throughout the Jacksonville area to be celebrated on July 4th

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – To celebrate Independence Day, Monday night, fireworks will be lit in the sky throughout the Jacksonville area.

The July 4 Jacksonville Fireworks Celebration will return this year to various locations in the city to celebrate the independence of our nation. The city of Jacksonville offers a spectacular fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. from each of these five locations:

  • Downtown Jacksonville

  • Florida State College on the north campus of Jacksonville

  • The Avenues Mall

  • Trinity Baptist Church

  • Ed Austin Regional Park

These locations include downtown Jacksonville on Riverfront Plaza, which includes a family fun area with bounce houses and activities, food trucks and a concert featuring JHP Entertainment from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and Bryan Malpass from 18:45. at 9:45 p.m.

There will also be an additional opportunity to watch the fireworks at 121 Financial Ballpark immediately after the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball game, which begins at 7:05 p.m.

On the beaches, fireworks will be launched at 9 p.m. from Jacksonville Beach Pier. The fireworks show will need to close the beach from Fifth Avenue North to Third Avenue North. No one will be allowed on the beach or in the water in this two-island public safety zone.
