A child dies after a horrific four-car overcrowding in Perth

A child who was seriously injured in an accident in the Rockingham suburb of Perth has died at the hospital.

The six-year-old was involved in a multi-vehicle crowding that happened at the intersection of Dixon and Mandurah Roads in East Rockingham at 3 p.m. Friday.

Police said a Holden Cruze collided with the back of a Kia Carnival, prompting cars to collide with two other vehicles and a bus.

The boy was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Police confirmed this morning that the six-year-old had died.

WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said police were investigating whether a medical episode provoked the chain reaction.

A 64-year-old man was taken to Rockingham Hospital for treatment.

He has now been discharged.
