A man is injured, he sees a pet cavoodle killed during a horrific dog attack in Melbourne

A man who was left with horrific injuries and watched as his pet was killed during a horrific attack with a dog has asked the owner of the offensive pit bulls to surrender. Patrick Crisostomo of Westmeadows, north Melbourne, was walking his dog on the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail in Jacana last Thursday when two stray pit bulls approached him at around 5.45pm.

The two dogs attacked Chrysostom and his dog, Kevy, a 15-year-old cavoodle, who died in the attack.

Chrysostom suffered multiple bite wounds while using his body to protect Kevy from attack.

He spent the night at Royal Melbourne Hospital and needed stitches.

“For me, the most painful thing is mental anguish,” he said.

The two attacking dogs are described as large and of medium build. One is brown, the other is white.

Police say the owner of the attacking dogs is believed to be of Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, about 30 years old, with short, dark hair.

He was wearing a brown jacket at the time.

Chrysostom said the owner of the two dogs tried to hit the animals with a stick to stop the cruel attack.

He urged the owner to show up.

“I just want justice because this guy left and I knew someone was badly injured and I knew my dog ​​was dead. That could happen to anyone,” Chrysostom said.

“Don’t make it worse, surrender and we know you’ll find it.

“We will do everything we can to seek justice, we just want the closure of our family.”

Police are calling for all witnesses in the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail area to appear at the same time and for any information that may help identify the owner and his two dogs.
