A ship surrounded by flames in the Scottish harbor as crews fight the blaze

A boat caught fire in an Aberdeenshire harbor today, prompting an emergency response.

Mercy crews, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Police, rushed to the scene around 4pm after being alerted to reports of a fire at Macduff Boat Yard.

The images show thick black plumes of smoke coming out of the ship, which appears to be moored.

The images also show several firefighters at the scene and a cordon raised around the affected area as locals gather nearby to examine the damage.

Firefighters have confirmed that there are currently four fire engines and a high-altitude device to try to put out the hell.
